  1. RELEASE NOTES FOR CAT O’ SEVEN TAILS

  3. This is a utility of the 'one dumb job' variety. It does one job, and
  4. does it fast and with minimal hoorah.
  5.  
  6. Cat o’ Seven Tails is SYSTEM 7 ONLY. Its only interface is Drag and
  7. Drop, so you cannot use it with earlier Systems. If you double-click
  8. on it from a System 6 machine, you will get an error message and the
  9. software will quit gracefully.
  10.  
  11. To use Cat o’ Seven Tails _with_ System 7, simply select the files
  12. you want to concatenate and drag them on the program's icon or an
  13. alias of it. A new file called "Concatenated files…" will be created,
  14. and your original source files will remain unaltered.
  15.  
  16. IMPORTANT: Files will be concatenated _in the order selected in the
  17. Finder_. You establish the sequence with the sequence that you click
  18. upon individual files.
  19.  
  20. In a List view (by Date, Size or Kind), you can click, marquee or
  21. Select All. In ALL cases, you will concatenate in the order you see
  22. in the List view.
  23.  
  24. In Icon view, you should click each file indvidually, rather than
  25. marqueeing or Selecting All. I haven't found a way of predicting the
  26. order for the latter two.
